Governing bodies are often measured by their governance during the first 100 days out of the gate. It sets the tone and direction of what can and will be accomplished.

Student School Assignment is changing for the 2023-24 school year--a very important message especially for parents/guardians of elementary school students.

Happy New Year to all of our students, families, educators, and community. As we embark on a new year, we continue to celebrate successes, but also face some challenges ahead.

Our Christmases here in Lee County have certainly never been white, but the aftermath of the hurricane has Fort Myers feeling more blue than usual this Holiday season.

As we enter our third week post Hurricane Ian, the School Board continues to acknowledge the significant loss and suffering experienced by many in the School District of Lee County community.

Do you want politics or professionalism? That is the question voters in Lee County will face in November when they decide whether to maintain an appointed professional as the Chief Executive Officer of the Lee County School District or take their chances with a politico if they choose to elect their children’s top schools chief.

As the 2021-2022 school year comes to an end, from our newest kindergarten students to our graduating seniors, we have so many things to be thankful for.

The school year is coming to an end, with proms, plays, concerts, award ceremonies, and state and world championships in full swing, reminding us of life before the pandemic.
