Dear Varsity Lake Middle School Families,
Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year at Varsity Lakes Middle School!
My name is Carol Woelke and I am excited to introduce myself as the new principal. Prior to arriving to VLMS, I have been an Administrator in Constituent Services at the school district office for the past 2 years, an Assistant Principal at Manatee Elementary for a year, and the Assistant Principal of Curriculum at Gulf Middle School for 11 years. I began my teaching career 25 years ago at Cypress Lake Middle School where I taught for 8 years. I also taught one year at Lehigh Senior High School. Most importantly, I had the pleasure of opening Varsity Lakes Middle School in 2004 as a Teacher On Assignment.
I have two major initiatives for the 2020-2021 school year. Each of the two initiatives are critical for the continued success of VLMS.
School Safety - It is the District’s goal and my goal to ensure the safety and security of all stakeholders. These include ensuring a safe environment for our students. My main priority is the well-being and safety of your child.
Academics – Academics are a critical component to any school – it is my belief that every child should receive the best education possible. Our goal is to ensure that every student receives a quality education for the continued success of all students.
Once again, I would like to express how excited I am to be returning to Varsity Lakes Middle School. I am looking forward to working together with you to ensure the continued success of your child.
Sincerely,
Carol Woelke, Principal
Varsity Lakes Middle School
